Aims and Objectives
Objective of the conference is to bring together academia, industry and R & D on a common platform where the leaders can share their insights on the subject and offer additional resources and tools to the future technocrats.
Members of the Organizing Committee cordially invite all Researchers & dedicated workers in the fields listed below to participate actively and present research papers in the International Conference on Emerging Materials & Applications' being organized on February 20-22, 2017 at the Physics Department, University of Allahabad, Allahabad, India. The aim of this conference is to bring together on a common platform ace Theoretical & Experimental Physicists, Chemists, Materials Scientists, and young budding Scientists and Researchers. This will provide an excellent meeting place for exchange of ideas in a congenial atmosphere. Conference is also open to interested Industry Personnel to showcase their products and developments. In the Conference, besides Plenary Talks, there shall be Invited Talks by stalwarts in the fields given below and oral presentations in TWO PARALLEL SESSIONS, and Poster presentations. We also seek active participation of Manufacturers and Suppliers of Scientific Instruments for research on these topics. Participants may contribute research papers based on their original unpublished research work. Persons who are keen to participate in the Conference for exposure and interaction with the dedicated researchers and stalwarts, but are not contributing through research papers, are also welcome, but such persons have to get registered before the deadline 20th January 2017. Format for submission of abstracts of contributed research papers is given in the link on submission of abstracts.

An International Conference on “Emerging Materials and Applications” (ICEMA-2017) was organized by the Physics Department, University of Allahabad. The convener Dr. Lokendra Kumar, Associate Professor of Physics, University of Allahabad, initiated the international conference, as his area of research is in emerging materials and their applications. Prof. Ram Kripal is the chairman of the conference, who is also the Head of Physics Department, University of Allahabad. The Hon’ble Vice- Chancellor Prof. Rattan Lal Hangloo has been the Chief patron of this international conference.
This Conference was attended by about 300 delegates, invited speakers from prestigious institutions like IIT, IGCAR, JNCASR, IISER, NPL, DAE-Indore, BARC, Central and State Universities along with International delegates from France, USA, Israel, etc. as the plenary and Invited speakers. Prof Rakesh Agrawal Winthrop E. Stone Distinguished Professor of Chemical Engineering at Purdue University, USA and National Medal awardee of Technology and Innovation from the President of the United States of America (2011), (The highest honor given by the U.S. government for Technology and Innovation) delivered the Plenary Lecture during the conference.
The Inaugural session of this International Conference held on 20 February 2017 at 10:00 AM. At Vigyan Parishad Auditorium. In this international event, the Chief Guest was Prof. (Dr.) Krishan Lal (Co-Chair, IAP for Science, the Global Network of Science Academies, Immediate Past President, INSA-New Delhi, Former Director-NPL, Delhi), the Guest of Honour was Professor Kui Y. Zhang (Scientist France). Prof. Rattan Lal Hangloo, Hon’ble Vice- Chancellor, University of Allahabad presided over the function.

The second day witnessed plenary talks were given by Dr. Rakesh Agrawal (Purdue, USA) and Dr. K. S. Narayan (JNCASR, Bangalore). Dr. Rakesh Agrawal delivered his talk about SOLUTION PROCESSED INORGANIC SOLAR CELLS. Dr. K. S. Narayan talked about Recent Progress in Organic Electronics. In which he discussed about Organic molecules as they are getting recognized as important materials for the electronics. The second session held into two parallel sessions A and B. In session A following three professors B. K. Agrawal (Allahabad Univ.), R. P. Tandon (Delhi Univ.), A. K. Gupta (IIT- Kanpur) were invited to deliver their talks. In session B following three professors S. I. Patil (Pune Univ.) S. B. Rai (BHU, Varanasi), A. M. Tiwari (IGCAR, Kalpakkam), M. N. Tripathi (GGD Univ. Bilaspur) etc. were invited to deliver their talks. The last session was poster and oral presentations by young researchers in their respective research area.
The last day of ICEMA-2017 started with the lecture by Prof. D Pandey (IIT BHU) on ferroic and multiferroic materials in the application of capacitor and piezoelectric devices which is a billion dollar industry. The next speaker of this session Prof. S M Shivaprasad (Jawaharlal Nehru Centre for Advanced Scientific Research, Bangalore ) spoken about the versatile application of binary semiconductor GaN. Furthermore, the other invited speakers Dr. C R Gautam (Lucknow University), Dr. B P Singh (CCS Meerut University) etc. delivered their talks. The last session was valedictory session that was followed by Awards Ceremony. Outcomes of conference and ideas on the emergence of next generation technologies were deliberated in the valedictory session and awards have been given to oral and poster prize winners. Dr. Lokendra Kumar, Convenor of ICEMA-2017, thanked all those who have contributed to the grand success of ICEMA-2017.
We shall try to accommodate our Invited Speakers in Institutional Guest Houses, receive/drop them at the Railway Station/Airport and provide local transport between their place of stay and Conference venue, where Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner will be served. For other participants, registration before deadline entitles them to Registration Kit, Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner at Conference Venue, Local Transportation between place of stay and conference Venue, and receiving/dropping them at Railway Station/Airport and our sincere effort to provide Hostel accommodation for Research Scholars, shared Guest House Accommodation for Senior participants, help for paid Hotel Accommodation. The organizers desire to help those participants also who promise to pay Registration Fee on arrival, but provide before the deadline of payment of registration fees, complete information required in the Registration Form. For those participants, who donot provide the complete required information by January 20, 2017, we shall presume that they have their own Accommodation and Transport arrangements and donot need our help.
